In a special edition of Primetime,
Diane Sawyer interviewed Oprah Winfrey about her work to help thousands
of South African children who have been orphaned as a result of the AIDS
epidemic. Winfrey traveled to South Africa to see the devastating effect
the disease is having on all generations and she tells Sawyer why she
has undertaken this ambitious multi-million dollar campaign. PRIMETIME
will air on WEDNESDAY, DEC. 17 (10-11 pm, ET) on the ABC Television
Network.
I thought this was a wonderfully compassionate work by Opra Winfrey, and
was myself moved by her presentation, and so made
a prediction based on the notion her work is something that could positively
affect the world. The data do not show a strong result for my
prediction, but ther is a modest positive trend.
